TOMMY NUT

TOMMY NUTS are hex nuts with holes drilled on each hex face. Purpose of holes are to tighten the nuts with help of tommy bars thru the window of a hydraulic bolt tensioning device. These type of nuts are used on confined spaces where normal hexnuts can’t be installed with normal wrenching spanners. Basically demand of tommy nuts are more in oil field equipment’s and hexvy machinery/engineering sectors ,manufacturing of these requires expertise.
