Coupling nuts are also known as extension nuts. These are lengthened internally threaded nuts used to join two male threads usually a threaded rod and also the pipes. Coupling nuts are regularly used for linking threaded rods or hanger bolts in a diversity of applications that require spreading threaded rods or ascribing like items. Coupling nuts can be used to tighten a rod muster inward or to press a rod assembly outward. Along with bolts or studs, connecting nuts are also often used to make homemade comportment and seal pullers/presses. The benefit of a connecting nut over a standard nut in this application is that, due to its length, a greater number of threads are betrothed with the bolt. It helps to spread the force over a larger number of threads, which decreases the likelihood of stripping or infuriating the threads under a heavy load.
As these are also known as extension nuts, can be used to connect and spread threaded rods. These are about half the strength of medium-strength steel coupling nuts for use in light-duty fastening applications. At SEF we have a team of knowledgeable people who are involved in offering an inclusive array of coupling nuts mass-produced by our conversant engineers based on superior grade raw material and unconventional technology.
Zinc–plated coupling nuts are corrosion resistant in wet environments.
Hot–dipped galvanized coupling nuts have a thick coating for better corrosion resistance than zinc-plated steel nuts. They must be used with other hot-dipped galvanized fasteners.
Black–oxide coupling nuts have a dark surface color and are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.
