DOUBLE END STUD

Double End Studs are threaded fasteners having a thread on both ends with an unthreaded portion in between the two threaded ends. Double-end stud bolts are threaded rods with equal thread length at both ends. Tap end studs are also sometimes referred to as double end stud bolts. Double-end stud bolts have a plain shank equal to that of the nominal diameter. Double-end threaded studs are a type of fastener that have equal lengths of their trough threaded on both ends of the fastener.

Double ends studs are intended to be used on flanged assemblies where one of the threaded ends is installed in a tapped hole and a hex nut used on the other end to clamp a fixture onto the surface that the stud has been threaded into.
